Frequently Asked Questions

  • How does the booking process work?

The first step to booking is to have you inquire through email, preferably through my websites booking form here. I will then email you back with any other questions I may have and we will set up a time to do a consultation call virtually over Zoom, which lasts about 20-40 minutes on average. On our consultation call, I’ll ask you questions about your wedding day such as venue details and I will let you know a little about how I work. This is a great time for you to ask me questions, too! Finally, after our call is over I will send you a custom proposal within a few days. The proposal includes a package(s) summary, an invoice and payment page, a contract and simple couples questionnaire. Once you submit the deposit and complete the proposal I will send you a confirmation email that you’re officially booked in my calendar!

  • How many photos can I expect in my gallery?

As a photographer I prefer to stay away from limitations like a maximum or minimum amount of photos in your gallery. Simply put, I deliver all the good ones! I will never hold back a good image from your gallery because of a number, because 1. that’s silly, and 2. every wedding is different. Gallery sizes can be smaller or larger depending on factors like hours of coverage, how many photographers are shooting the wedding, and so forth. Generally, I would say most of my galleries range from 200 photos for a shorter day like an elopement, and upwards of 600 photos for a full day of coverage.

  • Why do you include an engagement shoot in your packages?

I will always emphasize the benefits of an engagement shoot before a wedding, which is why one is included in 2 of 3 of my packages. I personally think it’s beneficial to be able to meet and work with your photographer before your big day, as it helps couples to get more comfortable in front of the camera and to dispel some nerves, too! However, if a couple wants to skip the engagement photoshoot, I will always have the option for them to remove it from their package.

  • How long does it take to receive my photos?

This depends on type of event, but generally I say it takes me about 60 days maximum to deliver your wedding gallery to you. This being said, I always strive to get them to you sooner and I do offer a sneak peek of 20 + edits within 48 hours of your wedding so you’re able to get a little preview.

  • Do you only photograph weddings?

By no means! I’m always happy and honoured to be approached with other inquires. I love to also photograph family portraits, maternity or boudoir sessions, and other life events! For these sort of inquiries I offer customized quotes based on an hourly rate.

  • Where are you based and how far will you travel?

I am based out of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I love travel, and I’m always happy to discuss travelling outside of my area to photograph your wedding! Please feel free to inquire here to chat more about travel packages.

  • Can I get unedited (RAW) photos from you?

All of the photos you receive from me will be edited, so I won’t ever include or offer unedited RAW photos. This is pretty standard in the photography community and for good reason. You’re familiar with a certain standard and quality in my work - natural, timeless and dreamy editing. To provide unedited photos would be a disservice to myself and my clients who are expecting to receive photos with my touch and photographic eye.

  • How do you incorporate film photography into your work?

If you get me started, I will rant about my love for film endlessly. I am currently at a point in my career where I am slowly but steadily incorporating film as a package add-on, but not directly advertising this. This is because my 2024 season will be a test run into hybrid packages (hybrid = shooting both film and digital together) with the hope of 2025 being the year when I start “officially” offering it. That being said, if you’re a couple booking in 2024 and want to have film added on to your package, I can happily do that at a highly discounted rate - just ask me!
