Couples photoshoot at Mackenzie King Estate

A few weeks ago I ventured out into the cold with G & C to shoot some moody couples photos on an overcast day. We were actually really hoping for snow originally, but if you’re in Ottawa too you know that this winter was so unusual and warm that instead of having snow until March/ April, we had dry streets in January. The day we ended up choosing was an overcast day at about 1 degree outside, but the wind chill was absolutely brutal. Luckily these two were troopers and we managed to capture some really moody, cozy looking photos. We may have had to run back to the car once to warm up, but in the end we were so glad we chose the Mackenzie King Estate for its forest views, stone ruins and wide open fields. I was super lucky to have these two trust my vision completely and power through the cold like pros!
